Abstract
Vpress is an online platform that allows customization of greeting cards and it offers various options for personalizing and designing cards for different occasions. It sounds like a convenient tool for creating personalized greetings. It enable users to personalize greeting cards according to specific requirements and then ordering them can be a convenient way to create unique and customized greetings for various occasions .
Client Requirements
Greetings play a significant role in building connections and strengthening bonds with others. Occasionally, people are unable to find the right greeting card or the one they require. For that client gives us some requirements so that customers can personalize the greetings in online mode and order it for hardcopy.
Here are client requirements
- Integration with wordpress.
- Use of custom plugins for Vpress modal.
- Add the feature of preview of product before printing in Vpress plugins.
- Customers can select design which they like on the website.
- The form has conditional logic to fill the product ID relevant to the design selected .These will be hidden from the customer but output into a JSON blob with the key.
- Then it redirects customers to our form to collect the data.
- The customer fills out the data and clicks submit. The submitted data is input into the snapshot cookie.
- It will redirect to the Add product page,it shows the products that are available to purchase with the image.
- Customers can then add to the basket directly or click personalize on the listing.
- When customers check out ,the data is sent to Vpress.
Solution
In order to provide personalized greetings to the customers, the client provides us with a list of requirements. After understanding all the requirements, our development team got to know that the entire Vpress solution needs to be developed for customers who want personalized greeting cards for different occasions. Therefore, to address the requirements of the client, BabySoft Software developed a custom Web solution with Vpress plugins.
This solution is integrated with wordpress. So customers can select a variety of designs. After selection of design it opens vpress modal ,the vpress modal is open because of custom plugins used in website that modal offers the option to personalize greetings based on specific requirements, users can likely choose a variety of design templates, add their own text, images, or even upload their own designs, and then place an order for the customized greeting cards to be printed and delivered to given address. WordPress and vPress are connected through an API, which automatically syncs the two databases. Any changes made in WordPress will be immediately reflected in the Vpress database, ensuring that the two databases remain in sync.
This level of customization allows users to add a personal touch, such as including the recipient’s name, and even selecting the design elements that resonate with the recipient’s interests or personality. These personalized greetings can create a more intimate and thoughtful connection between the sender and the recipient.
Challenges we Faced
The lack of documentation of the vpress process, the development team had to spend extra time to research and understand the customer requirements.So Developers uses hit and trial approach. This hit-and-trial approach involved testing different combinations of features to check for compatibility, such as personalization, order of product, and integration with wordpress. The QA team was also involved in testing the compatibility to make sure that the features were working as expected.
